The unglamorous Behind-The-Scenes photographs!

Today I want to share some personal, behind-the-scenes shots of my “Green Cherriesphoto shoot.

Most of these photos were taken by the AMAZING EMMA JACKSON! She is a brand new photographer friend of mine who I am so happy to have met! If you want to follow someone’s journey in photography from start to finish, please go follow her on her BRAND NEW FACEBOOK PAGE and show her some major love! She is one to watch, so DEFINITELY check her out!

I was so grateful to have Emma come along on the day as my handy-dandy assistant! Seriously? SO WORTH IT to have her there, it made my life so much easier! She took behind the scenes photos, took some instagram shots for me (@alexbeadon), kept the models warm, held reflectors, and helped choose the next outfits (oooh part stylist!) :D

The beauty of behind-the-scenes posts is that often times people think that my personal photo shoots are really high-tech, hard-core, huge-team, totally 100% professional, lots of lights, equipment, models blah blah blah.

I think it’s so wonderful to be able to take a look at what actually happened.

Natural light. A random field. A hair stylist. A make-up artist. A model. An assistant. A photographer. Five creatives coming together as a team  to make something beautiful.

That was our aim, to create something beautiful. To create something from nothing. The time we spent together was fleeting, but the photos we produced will always remain. There’s something so special about that.

I hope you enjoyed these photos and their random captions haha! Another huge thanks to Emma for capturing these Behind-The-Scenes shots!

Big hugs

xoxo

This was great, Alex! Really inspiring to see what goes on behind the scenes. It IS always a question on my mind how things actually work. How did you and the model/hairdresser/assistant/makeup artist all come together?

I would love to see a SOOC shot compared to a finished photo from this photoshoot!
