Chatty Tuesday! >> A Social Media Tutorial: Custom Facebook Tabs!

Hi lovers! Today’s Chatty Tuesday episode is allllll about Facebook Custom Tabs! YES! It may sound slightly boring – but it is such an important and powerful tool to be able to guide your clients and potential clients to expose them to what you want them to see! I hope you enjoy the video, and don’t forget to watch it in HD to get the full effect :).

Big thanks to Ali for this topic inspiration! You can like Ali Bee Photography on Facebook here!

How funny, I was just playing with my tabs like yesterday and added ‘invite friends’ option that is actually missing from pages right now. But I was using a different app. Your looks so much better though :)

Haha it is kind of a dull question, but I been so dying to know how to do this! Thank you so much for doing this, Alex! And also for including my name in this little blog :)

    Hi,

I was wondering if it’s possible to do a tab without an htlm?
    I dont have a blog just a facebook page…

    thank you :)

Great post Alex! Thanks for the tip about ‘Static HTML iframe tabs’. Awesomesauce!

Eva? How did you add the ‘invite friends’ tab?

I know you mentioned about custom tabs at the London SmugMug Meetup yesterday and I knew I had seen some pages had them but never looked into how to create them. Thanks for this step by step tutorial showing us all how to use what I’m sure can be a very powerful tool! :D

Thanks Alex! Have been wanting to do some crazy tabs but never got around to learning! You saved me so. much. time.

PS Eva ‘Invite Friends’ tab sounds like an awesome idea. I thought a ‘Wallpaper’ tab would be really cool for photographers, right?

Thanks this was really useful! ;) I´ve redone my tabs!

Yay, Gabby! I am so happy that you were able to put this tutorial to use :) Thanks for letting me know! Big hugs and enjoy those new tabs of yours ;) xoxo

    Hi Diana!

Oh I am so happy that you were able to put this to good use. It literally took me forever to figure it out, that’s why I put it off for so long. My mum kept harassing me about getting it done though, she’s so cute haha. Hey are you in London still? If so we should meet up for a photo date! Let me know!

    Big hugs
    xoxo

PS I like the idea of a “wallpaper” tab!

Peter!!! Very powerful as you can take charge of directing your followers’ eyes to the places you really want them to see! Put it to use, my friend! :) Big hugs! xoxo

No problem, Ajira! I’m glad you found it useful! Here’s an “invite friends” tab I found, not sure if it’s the one Eva uses but here it is: https://www.facebook.com/FriendTab

    Big hugs, Ajira! xoxo

    Hi Avy!

All you have to do is upload your photo somewhere online (flickr maybe!). Then grab it’s html link (click share above the flickr photo and it should give you the html link) and insert it to a image html (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp) then add a link in html to it (check out http://www.quackit.com/html/codes/html_image_link_code.cfm for help).

    I hope that helps, Avy!

    Big hugs
    xoxo
