Oh. My. Gosh.
I did it. I made the move to London. The big city. I’m here, in my new apartment, soaking it all in. Our official move in date was Tuesday, but as you could probably imagine it has taken some time to “settle in”. There is still unpacking to do, but for now I wanted to take some time for my little old blog :)
So .. I’ve set up my “office” in a little corner of our living room.

It’s right next to a window and I can look out and see all the beautiful trees, something I thought I wouldn’t get much of in the city. When I left the West Midlands Emma asked me how I would cope. Rightly so. I’m such a country girl and the majority of my photography is inspired by the nature that used to surround me.
Honestly, I’m not sure how but I know I will find a way to adapt. We all do, right? It’s part of human nature.
So I guess I’m not worried. I’m more excited than anything. There is so much more opportunity for me here than the tranquil countryside. But it is kind of scary. New city. New people. New place. New home. New everything.
Scary. But I’ve gotta seize it. You only live once.
Here are some goals I wrote for my move here.
GOALS FOR LONDON
- one personal photo shoot a week.
- one big, creative photo shoot every other week.
- the every day project.
- go to one photography/business-related event a week.
- create one photography get together each month.
Five goals. Let’s see if I can achieve them :)
Big, huge, monster hugs,
xoxo
PS Are you in London this week? If so, there are only five spaces left to join me in a discussion on social media and branding. Come along, it will be SO AWESOME to meet you :)
