I loved watching this video, big thanks to Adam for sharing it with me! Even though I don’t 100% agree with all of their points, it was truly fascinating. I hope you enjoy it, too – even though it’s a long one!

    Good Main video – But I did stop watching after a hr or so when I watched it a couple of weeks back on twit-photo. Greg and Cliff just really were not the right 2 pro’s to be there I think- I understood that they had alot of knowledge and experance but I think they were a little too downing on the whole thing. – I mean you could have asked Crista meola and Bambi Cantrell who were also there speaking who I think could have given it a big boost – and if they do it again make sure everyone has a Mic.

    Hey Ken!

    I’m glad you enjoyed the video, I agree – it was very long, but honestly the length was a direct result of the informality of it all which is one of the things I loved about it. I agree that Greg and Cliff were definitely on the other end of the spectrum and I disagreed with a lot of what they said, but I’m glad that they were there. I feel like their purpose was to represent the “old school” view of photography and I’m always interested in hearing both sides of the story, so I think it was beneficial. The best part of the video in my opinion was that it really got me thinking about the whole topic.

    I really do believe that technology is nothing but a blessing to photography. Maybe it is because I know of nothing else, but technology has made me the photographer I am today. I have learned every single thing I know through the internet – online tutorials, photographers sharing tips/hints, how to’s etc… Not only that, but the ability for us as photographers to freely share our work and have a voice without needing the approval of anyone? Priceless.

    I understand that the “newbies” are frightening for some of us professional photographers, but I think they are just a catalyst for us to up our game and be the best we can be, offer the best service and products that we can, and the competition is simply pushing us to be better as an industry.

    That’s just my opinion on it, though. What do you think about it?
