Day 9 of my 30 day self portrait challenge.

Day 230 of my 365 project.
Titled: She sell sea shells.

Today I was featured on the beautiful and terrific blog, Lemonade and Lenses – SO EXCITING! They asked me to cover the topic of self portraits, so I wrote a seven step blog post on how to create beautiful self portraits. Hopefully I did it justice, definitely go and check it out and if you like what you see, leave a pretty comment and spread the love!

It’s quite nice posting my photo of the day here every day. It makes me feel like it’s an obligation. A responsibility. Like I can’t not post it. Last night it was a close one. I took it, and then thought “it’s over I can go to bed now”. But noooo.. dragged myself out of bed, turned back on the computer, and posted it. Go me ;). But did you notice the lack of words? haha.

Here’s mine from today. I did a bit of sunshine reminiscing with this shell of mine. I long for days by the beach, toes in the sand, wind in my hair, sun on my skin. What do you guys long for?

    I was really surprised, but I have found I enjoy posting my photo every day too… it makes me far more conscious of taking the picture, so I don’t forget to do it. It also makes me want to keep each photo fresh and different. If people are going to see it, I am going to put more effort into it than if I just stick it in a folder somewhere, where it may or may not get posted =)

    As for what I long for… pretty much the same things. Sun and wind and fresh air, and well, sand wouldn’t hurt ;) I want to breathe, and run barefoot, and have the sun tan my skin and bleach out my hair *sighs* Paradise!

    I long for days when I don’t have to think about my thesis… which I think are coming pretty soon, so I can finally dig my fingers on photography full time, and as a business too! I have so many ideas for a blog of my own and other things, but I refrain myself because the freaking thesis is freaking me out! Lol
