Day 2 of my 30 day self portrait challenge: Lost in Black.

I wanted to be surrounded by darkness, almost so that you couldn’t tell where I was. I didn’t want my identity (face) have anything to do with the photo. I didn’t want the viewer necessarily to be connecting with the subject. I just wanted to make it seem like this human being was totally lost in the black space.
I don’t really know if I achieved it or not. It’s a lot more difficult to get into these positions while wrapped in black, while trying to make sure it’s underneath your head at the same time as to not get the hair or arms tangled in the grass which would have meant far more photoshop work. :). But, this is the final product. And for now, I’m happy with it.
And here are some outtakes. My favourites are the ones with Toby, my funny dog, looking at me like “what are you doing, you crazy human being?” She must have been confused. Poor thing ;)
