Do it the Brazilian way – How to feel “freshly chilled” on a hot summer’s day

Hi everyone!

First and foremost, I need to make a very sad announcement that my August workshops have had to be postponed for very unfortunate reasons but not to worry – I will be holding more in the UK in early 2012, so to those of you who entered the workshop giveaway, your votes will count for the next giveaway AND you’ll be able to enter again :) which means you could possibly have double the chance of everyone else! :)

Today I’m going to be doing something a bit different on the blog – the other day we had a good friend over for dinner and he decided to make us Brazilian Lemonade. I didn’t expect it – but gosh was I impressed! What a delicious drink, I wish he had made more ;) Here’s a recipe I found online. As soon as I know his I will update it here!

You will need:

2 limes

1/2 cup sugar

3 tablespoons condensed milk

3 cups water

ice

and lots of love ;)

Step ONE: clean the limes thoroughly and cut the limes into beautiful eighths!

Step TWO: add the limes to the sugar in your favourite bowl.

Step THREE: add the condensed milk, if you dare.

Step FOUR: mix it all together along with the wonderful water!

Step FIVE: blend it all together to the beat of the music.

Step SIX: strain the remaining mix through a fine mesh strainer to keep the best bits!

Step SEVEN: add ice to give your hot summer the taste of “freshly chilled”.

Step EIGHT: pour everyone a cup, enjoy the gorgeous taste of your brazilian lemonade, and hope that you’ve made enough for seconds (and thirds!)

Yes it was yummy AND if you add a little rum, you have an instant rum punch.
