Hey you gorgeous people,
The other day I watched this video post by wonderful photographer, Nadine Burzler, and it really reminded me to listen to the words of Seth Godin in his awesome book, Purple Cow. In his book he explores the importance of being truly remarkable and how necessary it is in today’s world. So I’ve spent all day brainstorming beautiful ideas for the blog and also for upcoming photo shoots. It’s been such a happy day and makes me feel so lucky to do what I do.
It also inspired me to do a self portrait – since I haven’t done one in forever.
Here it is. The original idea was to do something very plain, black and white. But then I remembered – to be remarkable. :) So I decided to play around with the editing. I really loved the idea of making it seem like I was part of a painting. This is an idea I think I should expand on in future. What I love about this photo is how my hair almost seems to be part of the brush strokes, and how it’s as if I’m part of a creation – a bigger picture. I don’t know how to describe it, but when I feel most alive is when I feel the most connected to this world, this universe. I realise what a small and beautiful part I am of an even bigger and more beautiful picture.

Anyways, … how is it going for all of you wonderful people? What are you doing to be remarkable? I’d love to hear :)
