Flooded hopes

Hi friends,

I’m starting to get so excited for Saturday. Tomorrow is the deadline for the challenge. I’ve already received such amazing photos from people taking part and joining in, can’t wait to share them here on Saturday!

Today we woke up to tornado warnings and rain galore. For about 20 minutes it took a pause and decided to drizzle instead of torrentially pour. So I quickly ran outside and took these self portraits in our flooded field. I really wanted to challenge myself by not capturing my face as it’s hard to capture some sort of emotion without the face, but I think I like the results. I hope you do too.

    Oh my goodness, these are beautiful! You had to have a lot of rain to flood your yard like that though, which is crazy! Hope you are doing okay!

    I love it! Do you use a tripod? Or do you set up the shot then have someone snap the shutter? Just wondering.
