Do you ever wonder about the world ending?

Do you ever wonder about the world ending? And millions of years later, life somehow finds itself back on this planet, and they find our photos. And they get a glimpse into our lives through these photos. I think about that a lot. This obsession with photography and the power we each have as photographers is consuming.

This kinda made me sad. In our age we don’t print a lot of work out anymore its mostly on the internet. So what happens when that goes and our hard drives crash….then who will see our work? I think I might need to go print some picture up :)

A thought provoking sentiment and beautiful, nostalgic and gentle images.

    Here are some questions:

If aliens found our pictures do you think they would be fooled by photoshop?

Do you think that if our pictures became antique collector’s items, photoshopped pictures would be devalued, like fake jewelery?

And to this end- your pictures wouldn’t be as enjoyed as they are now.

    Interesting post, Lex <3

I love this idea because I’ve thought about this concept too….even more lately.

I also love your dog! So cute. I always have my dogs in the car with me. They are my co-pilots and lots of times they go on shoots with me. =)

i’ve never considered the fact that if the world ended that someone would come and discover the remains of this place. It’s an uncomfortable and haunting thought.

with this in mind, it makes me curious to know what kinds of assumptions they would make about our people. I feel that they would see how consumed we are with beauty. Of course, perhaps, they would not think the same things we think of as beautiful. Therefore, they might wonder why we spent so much time capturing images of such ugliness? You know, it’s all a matter of perception.

Really beautiful photos Alex! I am so in love with life these days considering all that’s happening in the world… It is true, photography captures blinks of daily life with it’s ups and downs with it’s joy and sorrow. Inspiring thoughts.

I never thought about that but I like it. I really like this style of post processing. Each different but loved that way.

What is that hairy, fluffy, weird, 4-legged creature? — is what they would prolly ask when they see these photos. :P

But as for now, I think Matty’s as cute as ever. Nice post!
