Photographer Shoot Swap – Tower Bridge, London

Last weekend I organised a get together for photographers and I had such a blast. If you are a photographer, or passionate about anything in general, I can definitely recommend that you meet up with people who share your passion. It’s so weird, because although you’re technically strangers, you have so much to talk about and you click instantly. It was awesome. We all had so much fun, and I’m sure it won’t be the last time we all get together. Here are my photos from the day. I guess since I organised it I was more interested in taking behind the scenes shots than actual shots of people on their own, but hey – I like how these came out, and it really does tell the story of the day.

As soon as we left the restaurant everyone took out their camera and immediately started shooting each other.

It was so interesting to see the unique ways that everyone shoots.

Where have you seen this beautiful girl before? Dominique is so lovely, and her personality actually matches her photography. She is just one of the nicest people :)

Dominique being our fabulous first model.

This is Mark Osborne, check out his work here. I love what he does with his camera, he’s so talent and really great at capturing those natural, emotion-filled moments. The guy’s got skill.

And here is the lovely Shirley Gilks, who is just so pretty – especially in this gorgeous light!!!

Love her style.

Shirley, me, Dominique and Mark. Taken by my good friend, Lovis. Hence the lack of focus ;) Gotta love him for braving it out with a bunch of photographers.

I love this photo of Mark, the reflection on his lens and the colours are beautiful.

On the right hand side of this photo we have the lovely Edette Steynberg of Purple Apple Studios. I can’t believe I have no photos of her by herself!! haha.

Another great one of Shirley in gorgeous light:

Lovis, the one who took all the group shots :) Thanks for joining, Lovis ;)

Juliet, Juliet, Juliet. What can I say? I second shot for her earlier this year, she is a character, full of energy and colour, much like her photos, and just a laugh to be around.

Dominique, Will, Juliet and Marie:

The stunning Juliet:

Here we have the oh-so-beautiful Anneli Marinovich:

The lovely Marie Man smiling with her gorgeous camera :)

The hilarious Will Ablett who kept everyone entertained through lunch with stories of Bristol and with his cute little Holga camera :)

Ahhhh, the uber talented and creative Fanni Williams who is also super nice and fun to hang out with:

I love this series :D

I decided to try something different with the editing of this photo and I actually really like it :) Maybe one of my favorites from the day :)

Another behind the scenes moment, one for which I got yelled at for getting in the shot ;)

Dominique teaching Lovis how to use her Nikon ;)

And last but not least, a gorgeous group shot, taken by the fabulous Lovis.

A special thank you to everyone who made it out that day, you all made the day so much fun for everyone involved, and I really hope we can do something like this again soon!! By the way, if any of you want any of the photos seen above, feel free to send me an email or message me and I’ll send it your way!!

Have a great Thursday!!

Dont let clients see you doing this- it might give them ideas – they will want you all there on the next commission, Grant

Hi Corporate Photographer, I see what you’re saying, but I have to disagree with you there. I don’t mind if clients see this. I want them to see this. :) Meeting with others in the industry is a great way to better ourselves in my opinion, making us better photographers and business people.

Hey Alex, love this post and I’m loving the photos here. I’ve done similar photo meetups, but I’ve mostly done it with mates. Looks like a great way to meet like minded people and share knowledge. Cheers, Jamie.
