Seeing as today was my last day in Florida I couldn’t say no to the ocean. I just couldn’t. So we put on our swimsuits, went to the beach, and went swimming. It was FREEZING. When I say freezing, I mean it – seriously – my whole body was numb, I don’t think I’ve ever been so cold in my life, but somehow – it was enjoyable :). This was the scene:
Everyone always says that practice makes perfect, but today I was hugely reminded of it. I tried to learn to skimboard at the beach today. Aaron was trying to teach me but really he was doing more laughing than teaching because I kept falling and hurting myself like this guy. Anyways, it got me thinking of how hard it must be for people who are in love with a game, a sport or anything else which involves a lot of pain to succeed. I mean, I fell two major times today and after that I gave up because I could barely walk anymore. I have a very low pain tolerance level. But it made me feel lucky that falling in photography isn’t a physically painful thing :), otherwise I don’t think I’d have lasted very long.
Moral of the story: You can’t succeed without failing. Practice makes perfect. Try, try again. etc etc…
Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend, unfortunately my daily posts will start to hugely slow down as I get back into uni life. I’ll try to keep posting, it just probably won’t be as often :). Love to you all <3
