Alex Beadon Photography bio picture

My life is one big love affair with photography

I'm a 21 year old venturing into the world of photography as both an art form and a business. I'm in love with photography, not only for its power to be a creative outlet, but also for its power to document the world as we know it today. I am an artist and I take great pride in my vision and in the work I produce. I think the most important thing is that I'm doing what I love. I used to struggle with the idea of choosing photography as a career path because it wasn't the "conventional" option, but now I realise that I have no choice in the matter. My body, mind and soul is so closely connected to photography that the only way for me to live a happy and fulfilled life is to be a photographer.

This blog is a personal blog where I will be posting both professional and personal work. It is a complete reflection of who I am and it's main purpose is to document my photography, thoughts, feelings, and work.

My life is one big love affair with photography, and you can find the details and in-between moments here.

Rachel and Stephen’s Coventry Wedding

To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven.” – Karen Sunde

This wedding was the first one I ever shot on my own and it couldn’t have been with a better couple. Rachel and Stephen are so genuinely in love with each other, and their wedding was one of the most touching moments I have ever experienced. I’m not even just saying that. Rachel and Stephen should consider themselves so lucky, not only to have found each other, but to be surrounded by family and friends who love and care for them so much. This was so evident on the day, and was such a special thing to document.

I arrived at the Chesford Grange Hotel, where Rachel was getting ready, and was immediately warmly greeted by all of her beautiful bridesmaids along with her mum and aunt.

I love the bow and elegance of her wedding dress, which she picked out from The White Dress Boutique, it really suited her:

Rachel made such a gorgeous bride, everyone was blown away by her beauty.

The bridesmaids were all helping each other get ready, it was so adorable :).

This charming church is where the ceremony was held, St James Styvechale (Church of England):

As soon as I walked in I fell in love with the ambience, it was just so beautiful:

They even had live music, and I was so moved by their performance! All I can say is that Rachel and Stephen have such talented friends:
James West – keys and lead vocal; Michael Bradley – electric guitar; James Williams – guitar; Tim Cousins – drums.

The loose colour scheme of the day was pink and blue, and the bridesmaids really looked beautiful in their dresses.

This was taken right before Rachel’s arrival, everyone was waiting in anticipation:

Finally she arrived on her father’s arm, and her bridesmaids immediately surrounded her and prepared her to walk down the aisle:

How excited does Rachel look? :)

This shot was one of my favourites from the day, a totally natural photo of Rachel and her father looking back at the happy bridesmaids seconds before they walked down the aisle:

The ceremony was so intense and powerful. I was blown away by Rachel and Stephen’s dedication and devotion to God, it was so inspiring. I had to hold back tears, the ceremony was that moving!!!

The music was simply amazing, so spiritual and touching. It made me feel the love throughout the room. It was a beautiful experience.

Rachel’s beaming smile:

Stephen walking proudly down the aisle with his new wife, Rachel:

After the ceremony Rachel and Stephen were bombarded with “Congratulations”:

But I had to quickly gather everyone in front of the church to take a nice group shot ;)

We then headed to Musmajas, which is Latvian for “Our Home”, and shot some beautiful portraits of the bride and groom:

I can’t tell you  how in love Stephen and Rachel are, it’s the most adorable thing to watch them together, makes my heart melt.

I love this photo, so romantic:

A few detail shots:

Aren’t these flowers STUNNING?!?! Arranged by The Flower Shop with special thanks to Sally Harris:

Stephen looking handsome and proud:

Rachel looking elegant and absolutely stunning:

Another detail shot, I love the feel of this photo:

They make such a beautiful couple:

And they’re just so adorable together:

Now onto the crazy, crazy groomsmen:

These guys were up for all sorts of photos and were a wedding photographer’s dream team ;)

They were so much fun, and you could tell that they were such great friends to Stephen:

Did I mention these guys were fun? ;)

Plus, they’re such a good looking group – and that always helps for gorgeous photos ;)

Rachel and her beautiful bridesmaids looked so cute all together, I love it:

I love the way they look at each other and make each other so happy:

Beautiful:

It was a perfect day and Musmajas was the ideal place to have the reception:

They decided to have an English tea party and I really love how everything came together:

All of the details were beautiful, but I seriously fell in love with these antique glass bottle flower arrangements:

The vintage crockery was perfect for the occasion and the food was presented beautifully:

And they even used their engagement photos to decorate the tables:

Everyone was so happy throughout the day that it was easy to capture so many smiles:

Check out Stephen and Rachel’s beautiful cake which was made by their very talented aunt, and the wooden dolls were painted by one of their friends to look exactly like them – down to the exact eye colour and details of their clothes. It was so personal, I loved it:

Stephen and Rachel cut the cake together, and couldn’t stop smiling for a second:

And finally, a few messages from their friends and family: (An idea given to me by the fabulous Juliet of Sugar and Spice Photography)

Thank you so much, Stephen and Rachel, for letting me capture the story of your day, I had such an amazing time.

New York Art

A few weeks ago I visited the city of New York for the first time and, although I found it overwhelming, I could see why so many people are in love with NYC. Anyways, I took hundreds and hundreds of photos, and when I sat down to edit I realised that I wanted to do something really different from anything I’ve done before. S0 I came up with the following art pieces:

I think the last one is my favorite. I love how the tile on the wall of 59th street covers her eyes, keeping her anonymity. As soon as I get back to the UK I’m going to frame it and hang it up :)

I’m back after a week without internet, so if I haven’t replied to your email yet, don’t worry – I’ll get to it by the end of today!

Family Photo Shoot – Great Malvern

My first family shoot! Wow. This shoot was a whole month ago and it feels like just yesterday. Time has been flying by so fast it’s unbelievable.

But anyways, here is the England family.

Shirley, Alex, Hannah and their cute dog, Mac :)

This is the beautiful Hannah. She has gorgeous blue eyes and was so easy to photograph, made my job easy :).

This is Alex. Most of my portraiture is of girls. I always thought that photographing guys would be really difficult, but after shooting Alex it made me realise that it’s easier than I thought. So maybe I should start shooting men, too :).

The photos below are so beautiful to me. It was such a beautiful location, a beautiful day, and such beautiful people. I especially love that second shot of all of them together as a family. It really shows how close they are and how much love they share. Loooove it :).

Near the end of our shoot Mac decided to do some exploring and ended up with filthy feet. It was hilarious!! At least he did it at the end of the shoot and not the beginning :)

That’s all for now, my loves. If you’re interested in booking a family shoot with me, feel free to get in touch! I’m in the USA at the moment, and will be back in the UK in September!! :)

Newbury Wedding – Second Shooting

This is officially the first wedding ever featured here on the blog!! I second shot for the very talented Juliet McKee of Sugar and Spice Photography at the beautiful wedding of Tracy and James. It was such a great day and I felt so thankful to Juliet for letting me come along :)

The day started off at The Vineyard at Stockcross, where Tracy and her bridesmaids got ready:

Tracy wore a beautiful dress:

Tracy’s mom helped her put her dress on and she looked stunning:

I loved everything she chose to wear – such beautiful shoes and jewellery.

I love this shot of her flowers, thanks Juliet ;).

A detail shot of that beautiful dress:

Here are two portraits – one of James, the groom, and one of Tracy, the bride. Such a gorgeous couple!

The beautiful church where their ceremony took place:

James and his sons looking very handsome:

Some more portraits, I love that soft feel:

The shot on the right is a shot I absolutely love of James walking into the church. I love it:

Shot of the groomsmen waiting to show in the guests:

Tracy’s dad walking her down the aisle, it was such a sweet moment! And I couldn’t miss that cute little girl looking back.

“You may now kiss the bride”

Off they go as bride and groom – I love this shot!! So beautiful!

Guests taking photos:

Just Married! Newlyweds walking to the car:

James’ beautiful little girl and perfect bridesmaid:

Tracy in all her beauty:

Beautiful shot of Tracy and her bridesmaids:

Just married!

Check out the marquee on this cricket pitch! The celebrations were amazing. What I loved was how everyone was catered to.

Each table was named after a place:

Happy guests = Happy wedding.

Beautiful table decorations and details for the adults (look at the cute chocolates for each guest!):

Gorgeous kids table, I love the details: all different flavours of milk, the wedding themed colouring books – So cute!

This photo of James shows just how happy he was:

I loved all the details found throughout the marquee:

Champagne :)

Isn’t this girl the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!??!?! She was just so sweet!!

The wedding also had it’s very own magician for the kids, who loved it!

The magician even managed to make a rabbit magically appear!

The beautiful couple:

The best men’s speech was hilarious:

Seriously, look at all of those laughing faces:

And they lived happily ever after:

Thanks to Tracy and James for the chance to document their lovely day, and thanks for Juliet for letting me second shoot with her :). If you’re interested in seeing Juliet’s take on the day here’s Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3!
