Alex Beadon Photography bio picture

Welcome!

Hey! Welcome to my blog! This is where you can follow me along my photographic journey. I am a girl who is absolutely in love with life and photography. I live for capturing moments. I know that sounds ridiculous, but nothing makes me happier than creating a beautiful image which makes the viewer feel something - love, freedom, happiness, beauty. I hope you enjoy browsing around, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or just want to say hi :).

I am currently located in the Surrey or London or Worcestershire area but am willing to travel to shoot. Please contact me for prices and information.

Much love,

Comfort Zones

As an artist I dread the day that I’m stuck in my comfort zone. I think it’s so important to always push boundaries, throw yourself out of your comfort zone in any way that you possibly can. I believe that you grow tremendously when you’re doing things that scare you and excite you all at the same time. Everything is a learning experience, and although you can’t always see it at the time, failure helps you on your journey to success – so it’s a win-win situation :).

Anyways, this post is a promise and a reminder to myself to always push for more. Not just in photography, but in life as well.

See things differently.

Yes, I do realise that I sound like some kind of self help book, but these sorts of posts are more for myself than for anyone else. This is where I’m at right now. These are the things I’m thinking. And I want to remember them.

Inspiration

Inspiration is kind of a funny thing. I’m not 100% sure where it comes from or what exactly defines it or why it comes and goes as it does, but I do know that I love it. I think it’s a beautiful thing, and I have somewhat of an addiction to it. It’s that feel-good factor. Anyways, I love inspiration, and every time I find something that inspires me or motivates me or just makes me feel good, I bookmark it or take a photo of it and then move on with my life, quickly forgetting it ever existed. I wanted to change that and have a place where I could quickly and easily store all of my sources of inspiration.

So in honor of my love for inspiration, I started a new blog which you can find here: http://alexbeadon.tumblr.com/

Just thought I’d share it with you if you’re ever looking for some cool photos/quotes/links etc..

January 23, 2010 - 11:22 PM melissa oholendt - That is FANTASTIC news! I just had to build an inspiration board for a workshop I'm attending and it was an exercise in patience AND super eye opening to see how different my inspirations were from the images I was outputting. Working on reconciling that.

January 23, 2010 - 4:26 AM Michelle Kane - Very cool idea. I'll keep checking back, as you always seem to find the best and most interesting links!

January 22, 2010 - 6:59 PM Marissa Rodriguez - SUCH a great idea! I'm always a mess when trying to gather all things that inspire me! I'm definitely going to check out your inspire blog! :)
